As every beginning of autumn, it is coming to Milan Fashion Week: a week of fashion shows and events all dedicated to fashion that will involve 360° the capital of Lombardy. A wonderful opportunity for all fashionistas to see up close this fascinating world and, for once, to have the chance to get a look.
It is known now as the most glamorous events of the fashion week are super narrow and very selective, so that no invitation shall not go virtually anywhere. Fortunately, however, also because of the presence of EXPO, this year there are many events open to all and exhibitions curated by the big brands that will surely make you fall in love with the history of Italian fashion.
What do downtown
In the streets of the center of Milan you can go and visit the exhibition Moreschi-walking pleasure, in via Alemagna, 6 open from 23/09 to 4/10 (10-23 hours), or shows #LIKES, women we love to Marie Clair visited in Via Spiga, 30 up to 29/09.
Missed then the Who is on Next? And Vogue Talent, exhibition dedicated to young emerging design that you can view in Via Sant’Andrea, 6 September 24 to 27 (10-19 hours), and very nice also the exhibition “The Leather Age”, the 12 civilizations of Anatolia edited by Hatice Gokce in Corso Venezia, 16 open from 10 to 15.30
Red Valentino, however, with the event Food For Thought will brighten the evenings of the Corso Como area with live performances on 17 and 24 September from 18.30 to 22.
For what regards, however, the initiative Milano Fashion EXPO started on 1st of May just in time for EXPO, some unmissable exhibitions (and still open) are definitely:
– Missoni, art, color: an exhibition dedicated to Ottavio and Rosita Missoni that explores the unique culture and genius of the founders of the famous Italian fashion house.
– Unconventional identity vector of Jil Sander: a light installation that projects the house logo through electromagnetic pulse (Via Luca Beltrami, 5 – Showroom Jil Sander).
– Diesel in motion by Felice Limosani: an original way to Diesel that pays tribute to Milan through an installation that celebrates the excellence of Diesel in the world of denim and its ability to interpret this matter in revolutionary ways (Diesel Planet in Piazza S . Babila).
Finally, if you walk through the streets of the center do not forget to watch your step, you might find one of 24 manholes art interpreted by the great protagonists of Italian fashion for the open-air exhibition “Above the under – manholes Art tell the wired city”
