Milan Fashion Week 2015: What to do Without Invitations

The Milan Fashion Week is almost upon us and all the collections for autumn-winter 2015-16 are about to be revealed by our own designers.

This year the calendar is even richer than usual: from February 25 to March 2, there will be 68 fashion shows and 80 presentations in showrooms as well as many other events.

The great Italian designers are finally well distributed within 5 days of MFW and whether to open (24 evenings) will be the winners of the Next Generation to close will be, as always, Giorgio Armani that will parade on March 2 just after Dsquared2.

But what to do if you are not journalists accredited buyers?
If you are not famous blogger in the world or if you do not have the right knowledge to gain access to fashion shows?
Actually the Fashion Week in Milan is much more beyond the parades and the city comes alive in those days of free access to events not to be missed!


The Fashion Hub in Piazza Markets 2 in Milan will be the headquarters of MFW and, in addition to technical assistance for employees in the sector, will also be the place where the stands will open to the public of all the sponsors of this edition (DHL , Schwarzkopf, Mac, Vitasnella, Radio Monte Carlo and others).

For the duration of the Fashion Week fashion hub there will be two exhibitions “The backstage diaries” curated by Alessia Glaviano with pictures of Philip Mutani taken in 6 years of Fashion Week Milanesi and “Tuscany Leather” in which the Tuscan consortium will present the NFC device that will make the shoes an accessory that contains traceability information.


The exhibitions in the city will be really many and all very nice to visit also because many will be “on the road” and thus visible only walking around the city.
Among the “open air” exhibits there will be “Above the below: manholes Art tell the wired city “ that will be present in via Montenapoleone and via Sant’Andrea 24 manholes interpreted by the great protagonists of Italian fashion, the multimedia exhibition Open Air via Spiga curated by Marieclair from 25 February to 3 March.


Among the classic exhibitions instead there will be the exhibition “Fashion remake Expo Gate” in Cairoli area (Via Beltrami) open from 23/2 to 3/3 and containing the creations made with Ekocycle textiles, pet products and recycled to 6 young fashion designers IED, the Vogue Talents in via Sant’Andrea, 6 and photographic exhibition by Marina Rinaldi “a New Perspective by Amy Arbus” visited in via Formentini, 12 from the 28 to March 1.

Under continuing exhibitions there will be the exhibition of Van Gogh’s “Man and Earth” at Palazzo Reale: 50 works with issues related to Expo: the land and its fruits, the man at the center of the real world, the rural life Delightful.

“Food Science from seed to plate” will instead be an exhibition dedicated to the theme approached food with scientific methodology: the individual elements that arrive daily in our dishes are “sliced” in the main elements, and then analyzed in detail. (Natural History Museum).

Finally, a classic shows, “Bramante in Milan” (Pinacoteca di Brera) with a reconstruction of the Bramante stay in Lombardy and Milan, and the fundamental impact of his work on Lombard artists.
