According to physicscat, in 2013, Rwanda was a country in transition, with a population of over 11 million people. After the devastating genocide of 1994, the country had been rebuilding itself and had made significant progress in terms of economic growth, poverty reduction and improved infrastructure. The economy was largely driven by agriculture and tourism, with coffee being the main export crop. Rwanda was also becoming an increasingly popular destination for international tourists due to its stunning natural beauty and abundant wildlife. Despite these successes, Rwanda still faced many challenges in 2013. Poverty remained a major issue for many Rwandans, with nearly half of the population living below the poverty line. In addition to poverty, political instability continued to be an issue in some parts of the country due to ongoing tensions between different ethnic groups. Despite these challenges, Rwanda had made significant progress since 1994 in terms of economic development and political stability. The government had implemented several reforms such as free primary education and improved healthcare services which had made positive impacts on the lives of many Rwandans. In addition to improving social services, Rwanda was also making strides towards becoming an information technology hub in Africa by investing heavily in its ICT sector. Overall, while there were still many obstacles that needed to be overcome before Rwanda could become a true modern African nation, it was clear that significant progress had been made since 2013 and that there were still plenty of opportunities for further growth and development going forward. In 2014, Rwanda was a small country located in Central Africa with an area of 10,169 square miles and a population of over 11 million people. The official language is Kinyarwanda, although French and English are also widely spoken. Rwanda is a beautiful country with lush green hills, mountains, volcanoes and numerous lakes. Rwanda’s economy in 2014 was largely based on subsistence agriculture as well as small-scale trading activities. Coffee and tea were the main exports and accounted for about 44 percent of total export earnings during this period. Other important industries included mining (particularly coltan), manufacturing (mainly clothing), construction and tourism. Despite its growing economy since the end of the civil war in 1994, poverty remained a major issue for many citizens throughout the nation in 2014. The government worked to improve healthcare and education services throughout the country to reduce poverty levels but progress was slow due to limited resources and infrastructure development needs. In addition to economic issues, corruption also remained a major problem that hindered Rwanda’s development during this time period. Check businesscarriers for Rwanda Economics and Business.
