According to physicscat, Tanzania in 2013 was a vibrant country full of fascinating attractions and experiences. Located in East Africa, the country was home to a diverse population that included many different ethnic groups, each with their own unique culture and traditions. The capital city of Dodoma was an interesting mix of old and new. While there were plenty of modern amenities such as banks and shopping malls, visitors could also explore the city’s traditional markets where they could find a wide range of goods from local crafts to exotic spices. Furthermore, travelers could visit the National Museum which housed an impressive collection of artifacts from different eras in Tanzanian history. Outside Dodoma, Tanzania offered plenty to see and do for visitors. From the Serengeti National Park which was home to some of Africa’s most iconic wildlife such as lions, elephants, and giraffes to the stunning beaches of Zanzibar where travelers could relax on white sand beaches or explore the island’s vibrant culture, Tanzania had something for everyone. For those looking for something different there were plenty of unique attractions such as Olduvai Gorge which provided an insight into early human history or Ngorongoro Crater which offered breathtaking views over one of Africa’s largest calderas. Furthermore, visitors could travel further south to Lake Malawi where they could enjoy activities such as swimming or boating on one of Africa’s largest lakes. Overall, Tanzania in 2013 provided travelers with plenty to experience and explore. With its stunning natural beauty and rich cultural heritage there were plenty opportunities for visitors to experience both sides without having to compromise on either one. In 2014, Tanzania was a nation in East Africa with a population of around 47 million people. It was bordered by Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique. The official languages were Swahili and English. Tanzania’s economy relied heavily on agriculture and tourism. It was the third largest economy in East Africa behind Kenya and Ethiopia. Its currency was the Tanzanian shilling. Tanzania’s terrain ranged from savannahs to mountains to lakes to rivers to coastal areas. Its highest point was Kilimanjaro at 19,341 feet above sea level. The wildlife in Tanzania included lions, zebras, giraffes and elephants among many other species of animals as it had some of the best game parks in Africa such as Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The government of Tanzania was a unitary presidential constitutional republic led by President Jakaya Kikwete who had been in power since 2005 when he became the fourth president since independence from Britain in 1961. The country also has a unicameral parliamentary system with 249 members elected for five-year terms from constituencies across the country with an additional 20 seats appointed by the President through special interests such as women or people with disabilities or youth representatives.
